[Image description: a Facebook update from a user whose name is illegible.  The update reads, “People are phobic about being phobic. Just this morning, I heard someone say, “I don’t have a homophobic bone in my body,” as if that would be terribly wrong. Why not be afraid of something you believe to be wrong. There’s the rub. People no longer believe sin is sin. Fornication became okay. Then adultery became okay. Now homosexuality is okay. Next polygamy will be fine. Then having sex with children will be okay. Then incest will be acceptable. Next will come bestiality. Where is the stopping line? Where it’s always been. The only reason one can cite to prove that any act or thought is wrong is the Bible. I have severan homosexual friends and I love them dearly. Their personalities are adorable. So is Ellen’s. She is one of the most personally charming people on TV. But what homosexuals are doing is not fine. It is well to fear the consequences of any sin, including all sexual sins. I fear homosexuality, but I don’t call the fear a phobia. The fear is rational, given the fact that the Bible says it is wrong. As a Christian, I accept what the Bible says. If the Bible is wrong, then discuss that. Don’t make charges against Christians because they believe what the Bible says. There is ample room for discussion on the authenticity and reliability of the Bible. Those who are afraid to study the Bible will remain ignorant of things they ought to know.”
