Privilege is a sociological concept that most social activists have embraced. Here is an article I skimmed that seems good if you’d like to read up on it, but it’s fairly easy to understand: in western society, white people have privilege over people of color, males have privilege over non-males, straight people have privilege over queer people, etc etc. Because of the way our society is set up, most people don’t even recognize their own privilege, and therefore say a lot of stupid shit that flaunts it. The “straight privilege defined” tag is showcasing prime examples of straight privilege being flaunted.
